Celebrating St Nicholas’ Day at UKRAID

On Wednesday 6th December 2023, the children that use the Ukrainian Refugee Centre had the opportunity to come together and do some arts and crafts marking our first community event at UKRAID.

The drawings will be sent to Ukraine’s frontline to motivate those in the military with messages of hope for the festive season.

This activity was an important milestone as it marked the first time that these children had the opportunity to play together and speak in their native language in a space dedicated to them. The families that we serve live in various parts of Valencia and the centre serves as a central point that can bring them all together.

We hope that this will be the first of many community activities going forward.
