SUNFLOWERS FOR UKRAINE
Girasoles para Ucrania is a project to promote awareness of the plight of refugees from Ukraine and raise money to support the Ukrainian Refugee Center in Valencia, Spain, UKRAID. UKRAID is the only NGO in the Valencian community that is solely dedicated to helping Ukrainians who have arrived in Valencia after taking the agonising decision to leave behind loved ones and become refugees.
The paintings are the work of American artist, Michael Hartt and are donated for the auction.
Generous support has also been provided by Bloom Gallery and Ros Marcos.

This is from a series of pastel paintings of sunflowers done in 2010. An early morning sunflower reflects the day’s first light against a brilliant red sky.
