SUNFLOWERS FOR UKRAINE
Girasoles para Ucrania is a project to promote awareness of the plight of refugees from Ukraine and raise money to support the Ukrainian Refugee Center in Valencia, Spain, UKRAID. UKRAID is the only NGO in the Valencian community that is solely dedicated to helping Ukrainians who have arrived in Valencia after taking the agonising decision to leave behind loved ones and become refugees.
The paintings are the work of American artist, Michael Hartt and are donated for the auction.

Sunflowers follow the sun across the sky, the face of the flower facing eastward in the morning and westward at the end of the day. The stems of sunflowers grow more during the night, but only on the west side which allows the sunflower head to bend eastward. During the day, the stem’s east side grows, resulting in motion to the west following the sun.
This painting is framed with a flat-bottomed frame that can be free standing on a table or dresser. It also has a picture wire for hanging on a wall.
