SUNFLOWERS FOR UKRAINE
Girasoles para Ucrania is a project to promote awareness of the plight of refugees from Ukraine and raise money to support the Ukrainian Refugee Center in Valencia, Spain, UKRAID. UKRAID is the only NGO in the Valencian community that is solely dedicated to helping Ukrainians who have arrived in Valencia after taking the agonising decision to leave behind loved ones and become refugees.
The paintings are the work of American artist, Michael Hartt and are donated for the auction.

These sunflowers were painted 13 years ago, but the background was finished toward the end of 2023. The artist can share a series of 4 photos showing the evolution of painting the background. This was part of a series of sunflower paintings (mostly pastel paintings) done in 2010.
This painting is framed with a flat-bottomed frame that can be free standing on a table or dresser. It also has a picture wire for hanging on a wall.
